Yayasan Tenaga Nasional Scholarship

Yayasan Tenaga Nasional (YTN) invites qualified Malaysians to apply for YTN scholarships to pursue tertiary education programmes overseas or at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN).[1]

Interview Tips
The interview was conducted just like the JPA. When all the candidates arrived, the officer will make a brief introduction about YTNB. Then you had to write down all the scholarship and the course that you applied for. The officer will tell that you cannot make any fake statement because they all linked together and share the same database. The officer will inform you that there was a guy that try to cheat but very soon they figured it out and he was shot by the interviewee badly during the interview.
After that you were brought into a room to make a personalty test and draw a graph based on the test results. There is no English grammar and proficiency test like years before. After the test, all candidates were divided into group with 4 members. You divided the group according they order when they registered for the interview. Later, you will be called into the interview room, and there were 3 interviewers. One of the interviewers is the ketua pengarah himself.
Normally you will start the session with the question : Why do you think that we should give you this scholarship. From your answer they will derive some questions and all you need to do is give your answer with confident and avoid making false statement. After the first question, you might be asked about your knowledge about the company. Then you will be asked to have a debate on the topic " Do you think PLKN is good for SPM leaver?" Each of interviewee will be assigned by them to oppose or support the statement. You will be given 1 minute to jot down our ideas and 3 minutes to explain it.
Be prepare by doing some research about Tenaga Nasional and revise you Physics knowledge before your interview. There is no fix format on how the interview will be conducted, so all you can do is prepare yourself with current issues,physics knowledge and some information about TNB. [2]
