Hi, great to see the JPA 2009 scholars who fail to get themselves a place for the PILN, but was Granted the PIDN I scholarships giving out their opinions on recom.

For your information, I am also one of the sponsored students of the JPA. I applied for the overseas scholarships of JPA, but they said that the competition was too keen so I was only given the chance to finish my pharmacy programme in malaysia. However, they posted to a university which i wonder why it was given the status of university. I doubt its ability to produce pharmacy degree students. It isn't the same with what most people think that the university's life should be. I don't feel like I am a university student at all.

So, this idea keep flashing through my mind. Should i use my A level results to apply for a better university(if i so lucky and able to secure their scholarships) since JPA is not going allowed us to change the uni they posted to me? Do i have to compensate for whatever JPA has paid since i have not sign any agreement?

So what your opinion if you are the first batch of students who received this form of scholarships?

Anyway congrats to those who obtained the local scholarships and were posted to a reputable uni.

yup, From what I understand from your post, it appears that you received the PIDN scholarship without signing any contracts (eg: no bond). In that case, this scholarship is a non-binding option and you can definitely apply to other universities.

I don't really get what you mean. But if I were you, since there are no bonds involved *yet*, I would do well in my A-levels/pre-U, apply to my dream schools, and see how it goes.

Overall, based on your descriptions, I don't see any problems in doing that. And if you have never signed any contracts, you do not have an agreement to pay back whatever money being spent.

uh-huh

You are right about it. Go ahead and do whatever you want. Don't worry about the contract if you didn't sign anything.

Case closed.

Nope, cause you didn't sign any forms of contract. Without contract, nothing can be done under law. You don't need to pay back any single cent cause you didn't sign the contract. Correct me if I'm wrong.
