When is your A Level? June? December? If it is June, then you would have 1 year of gap year, whereas for December, you would have half a year of gap year. Do plan well your time, to make sure that you have time to take your SAT Reasoning Test, SAT Subject Tests and TOEFL, besides finishing the applications! Good Luck! p/s: this is not off-topic!

What have you been doing since January 2009? if you have enrolled in a degree program, then you might not be able to apply as a freshman. So, it depends what are you doing.

But if you are not enrolling in any university by the time you apply, then yes, you can apply as a freshman.

guys, there's a wealth of information out there. RECOM alone has tons of threads about applying to the US. A simple "search" would help. And people like pinkpau @ www.quaintly.net have written comprehensive walk-throughs, andrew @ www.andrewlza.blogdrive.com, as well as a brief and funny post @ www.sweatlee.com
just search... don't ask the same questions over and over again. if you truly want to apply to the US... the spoonfeeding mentaility is one that you have to get rid of. no offense meant, just honesty.

Agree with Carol Yong. You guys should shed the spoonfeeding mentality and really strive to look for information yourself. There are a lot of resources around, and you just need a few minutes of your time to find.
Do put in the effort, and if you get stuck anywhere in the process, do bring out your questions, there will be a number of people who would be willing to help!
