Re: JPA 2009 (UK) : Anyone coming to Cempaka International College???
You will be doing A-levels in Cempaka (since you are going to UK!)
Ask ppl around in F6 and A-levels and you will know what is it like to compare F6 and A-levels. Generally, A-levels are considered (ya, considered, becoz i didn't attend F6!) easier than F6 because of the coverage of syllabus and examination structure. Syllabus wise, STPM got many extra things which are not included in A-levels. In A-levels, you are allowed to take the different papers (under one subject, eg. Chemistry, Physics, and Biology each has 5 papers) in 2 sittings, which we refer to AS and A2.
As i explained earlier, AS papers are foundation towards the A2 papers, so you will be doing AS papers at the end of 1 year (we are facing AS exams currently!), and A2 papers at the end of 2 years. You can always resit for papers in the next session if you are not satisfied with the grades you obtained. Every year there are two exam sessions, May/June and Oct/Nov, so you get 2 sets of past year papers every year. We all sit for exams in the May/June. So if you enrol in the A-levels this July, you will sit for AS in May/June 2010, and A2 in May/June 2011. I think that's all you need to know for now...
