Actually doing A levels at anywhere is just the same. It's the certificate that you are craving for. Well, every colleges have their pros and cons. At first, I was also wondering should I go Taylor's or Sunway as both of them offer CIE A levels with high standards. Lecturer wise, we can't say much. It all depends on the college itself. If the college arranged a batch of excellent lecturers for you, then you are lucky and vice versa. So, I can't comment much about that also. Sunway is good because the hostel is just in the campus and it is very convenient as less time is wasted. It also allows you to experience a college life and isn't that stressful. Taylor's, on the other hand, is well-known for its A levels studies and I believe that most of their lecturers are professional and experienced. I mean most but not ALL. Taylor's also allows you to have a study environment where competition is stiff. You will be competing to become one of the top students in the college. So, the stress is there. Once the stress is there, there will be an adrenaline rush in you that encourages you to study harder and thus score higher in exams. Well, if you are the one who cannot cope with stress, then you will most probably left out. That's my point of view and feedbacks from friends when come to choose which college I am going. I haven't really exprienced it yet as I took the june/july intake. According to those who had done their A levels, they commented that your results mostly depend on your own effort. If no effort is given, surely there will be no outcome. So, work hard and smart no matter what and where you are pursuing.

1 year being in Taylor's has thought me a lot about life and I hope that it does for u too. Let me share a few stuffs about Taylor's :
(1) Don't walk around ss 15 at night around 9pm to 5 am unsafe. Lecturers have been mugged when jogging somewhere ss 17 and my friends has also been mugged.(one JPA the other is PETRONAS). My PETRONAS friend was mugged RM 400, his watch and his handphone by a group of 30 people he said-carrying hatchets, knives and goodness knows what. So, remember, even if ur fren call u to go to his/her house at night, reject. Don't go. It's unsafe! My friend was being set-up btw.. he said his friend called him up crying and told him to come... mana tau when he reach.. everything was taken.. luckily he escape unhurt. (2) Around Taylor's there are lots of distractions. Pool, Cyber Cafe, Sunway Pyramid, Subang Square, Summit etc there are just so many distractions that most Taylorians who decides to escape class can simply do so by going these places. Don't be one of them. Think about the money ur parents have spent on u.. Don't waste it... (3) Okay, to those who are thinking about doing A level in Taylor's, I recommend that u do so if u have the right determination, focus and financial kit. Like I mentioned earlier, there are lots of distractions around so you might find that u waste a lot of money and time for unnecessary stuffs at times if u are easily influenced by peers. As for the lecturers, most are dedicated and good. So, don't worry.-I used 'most' as all my lecturers are good but I cannot presume that all are good. To back that up, Taylor's provide consultation hours whereby you can go one-to-one with the teacher and ask him/her anything at all. Extra work done? No problem. The lecturers here will enjoy marking them. Next thing will be the lecture-tutorial system. Erm, my class is having a lecturer-tutorial system but most students find it hard to adapt to such teachings so the new batch will most probably be having full tutorial classes only. No more lectures. Another thing about Taylor is you might find the food here kind of expensive. So, what do you do when you are dry? haha.. no worries. The theory is this. The further walk away from Taylor's, the cheaper the food will be. My menu will normally be: Breakfast: Nasi Lemak(RM 1.60)/Kuih 3 pieces(RM 1)/Char Kueh(RM 0.60 per piece) Location : Near Taylor only.. Lunch : Vegetarian food(RM 2 for any menu you take)/ Face-to-Face(RM 4 to taking as much food as u like for economy rice)/ Rojak(RM3-RM3.80)/ Market(economy rice RM 2.50-5.50, depends on how much u take)/ McDonald/KFC Dinner : Same like lunch lar.. Well, that's it I can think of which I can tell you guys for now. But seriously,Taylor's is really a nice place to be. No doubt you might meet those 'in their own class' people but it is really a nice place to be. So, come and join me. Be a part of the proud Taylorians!
