NUS Orientation/Preparation Queries

hey thanks for the details!does the 1 and a half hours include all the walking or just the mrt and bus trips?btw.i think there is a direct bus which goes straight to kent ridge hall.u shud check streetdirectory out.=)

oh my.. I hope they will provide pillows in my hall.. haha.. but u still manage well by sleeping without pillow on ur first night..

if you enter nus from the science faculty side you should take bus A1 (free campus shuttle) to go to Kent Ridge.

if you enter nus from the prince george's park side you should take bus A2(free campus shuttle) to go to Kent Ridge.

Eh, how many of you are going to Kent Ridge :S Couldn't be that many students.

ppl ....got some prob here...i only realised just now that i didnt submit a passport-sized photo for the SOLAR form...i submitted the normal size photo.... but my application has been approved.....is there anything wrong with it??
worried here....worried they will reject my application during registration..
any seniors have experienced this prob b4???

Has anyone check in to PGPR yet?

I have a question.. Do we have to settle the full semester stay payment during check in?

@the unknown: It should be okay since it will only appear in your solar e-16 form. When we are applying for our student visa (student pass) we will have to give another passport size photograph. Unfortunately, Singapore wants a white background so most of us students here will be taking the photos here. There will be a photo booth set up by ICA where you can use its services for $7 for 6 pieces of photographs.

@dexterming: Lots of Malaysians have checked in to PGPR. The hostel fees will be cleared later. But you must pay your deposit first

There are a few. But the most convenient one for you is tale MRT to Clementi Station, walk out of the ezLink touch station and turn right and alight on bus 183.

Tell the bus uncle you want to go to Heng Mui Kheng Terrace... he will let you know when to stop...

@the unknown : One more thing... Singapore's passport sized photo is strangely different size from ours... i suggest you take the photo here for your convenience

I din know there was a bus 183 at the Clementi bus interchange lol... I had to take the 96 bus to the Engineering Drive and walked =(.... because I arrived at night and there was no bus service during the night
