This reminds me of the Chinese Drama, Sonria Pasta / 微笑Pasta. She likes saying, just smile and everything will be okay. Haha.

It helps to hide your true emotions, that is. Not sure if smiling makes you happy, because the muscles around your mouth is not connected to any part of your brain that controls emotions...

Hahaha. I guess if you smile but you don't feel good then it doesn't really work? But if you smile because someone made you laugh or you find humour in smt, then it does work when you are sad. :]

I don't know about others, but sometimes, I smile when I cry. Then I'll laugh at myself for smiling when I'm supposed to be crying.
