If you want general advice about improving your command in English, have a read through this thread:

In fact if you use bombastic vocabulary without first learning about the underlying grammar, sentence structure and the context in which a particular word could be appropriately used, the writing will just end up as a string of grotesque jumble. When you are online, do make use of the free dictionary ALL the time. I make it a point that whenever I use a word I am not very familiar with, I look it up on dictionary.com (or any other dictionary website to your liking) and make sure that I am using the word appropriately. This way you would learn as you write very quickly.
