Anyone here like this kind of music? Its about the only type of music i can sing but i have a terrible voice really. However the artists i mentioned all have voices waaay superior to mine.

My favourite tunes are harry connick jr "Nowhere with love", "come by buble"
and michael Buble "Everything" I'm not sure about if you can consider Sean Ghazi a Big Band artist but i like his songs too.

Maybe if have a son i will give him piano lessons and maybe they can become a piano playing singer too.

Hehe... I love "Quando, Quando, Quando" sang by Michael Buble with Nelly Furtado (not sure if that's how it's spelt). I also love Buble's "Fever".

These are the songs that suit my bass vocal range. I must admit, however, some of Buble's songs are hard for me to reach, too.

Hey, hey! Me too!

I sometimes sing songs like these (in private, of course!), but I will definitely never do them justice.

I'll try, but not in public either. Many of my friends coax me to sing with them, and I do so very reluctantly. I am, after all, a pianist, not a singer.

My friends just want me to sing because they want a bass voice to accompany their higher vocal ranges. Some also ask me to sing just to tease at my inability to sing higher notes (when notes get to high I always sing them at either an octave or two lower).

Darn!

Speaking of Frank Sinatra, I suppose you're familiar with the song "Strangers in the Night"?

My friend changed some of the lyrics to the song, to the point that it was very "suggestive" in nature. No profanity, and no pornography, but just imagine you're singing the song and you replace the lyrics with the following:

"Strangers in the Night,
Exchanging trousers,
Wond'ring what's inside,
Beneath the covers,
We'd be making love,
Before the night is through...."

I always sing at an octave lower too. Or perhaps sometimes when I feel adventurous, I go for a higher octave and break my voice. Usually in the presence of many.

Damned Murphy!

Haha... I could do a falsetto, but I'd save that for a humorous event. Otherwise, better an octave lower than breaking my voice.

And speaking of high vocal range, I can NEVER sing songs like those of Richard Marx's.
