If the pharmacy course says you need IELTS then you have to have it. However, you can still use your GCE O Level 1119 english to apply. Since you're applying, and if the college wants you, they will set you some conditions. Of course, grades are the main thing but they may also want AAB or similar for A levels and a band X for IELTS. So, it is not necessary for you to have IELTS first. What do is you don't submit that you have IELTS. Wait until you get their offer and in the mean time, try to up your english proficiency so that you can present them their required IELTS score whenever they need it. (Usually around July to August, which is when universities will request for the copies of your certs)

A word of caution though, the university may not act the way I suggested. They may be very strict and want your IELTS score besides your predicted grades for application.

Considering your option, if you want a place in King's or Bath, you might as well take the risk and follow the route I suggested to you earlier. At least you can still secure a place in both unis. If you decide not to apply to the 2 unis, then it is all up to you whether to include it in your UCAS form or not. Good luck!

I have ielts dilemma too...
I took a gap year, so I actually applied UCAS after I got my results. So apparently, i fulfill all the conditions and requirements, except for Imperial, who wants me to get band 7 for all categories...
( i'm applying for bilogical science btw, easy course to get in but no secure of job opportunities in the future)

So i retook ielts, a 2nd time. God knows how expensive it is. Unfortunately, I only got 6.5 for writing, 7 for speaking, 9 for listening, 8.5 for reading.

Should i send it for a remark just for writing as i need only 0.5, (a dreadful waste of money if it remain unchanged)
or retake ielts again? (another as expensive option)
or give up and just go for UCL or Edinburgh which i got unconditional offers from so I wouldn't need to waste any more monies retaking ielts just to get into imperial?

Please advice.... thankyou ^^
