I am applying to UK thru UCAS 2009.I took IELTS twice.1st time,overall 7,writing 6.5,speaking 6.2nd time, overall 7 too but writing 5.5 n speaking 7.Obviously all my listening n reading r 7.5 n above.

Taking IELTS asap n attempt until i get d required INDIVIDUAL bands before i apply.Improving english in such a short time,i afraid i will not get d required individual band. 2. In UCAS form,i put IELTS as pending n attempt it after A2 level exam where i have more time to improve my english as i m taking 3 science n 1 math in A2 which is quiet hectic.The weakness of this is that if i have a candidate at par with me at AS result,personal statement.A pending IELTS candidate(me) n a candidate which already fulfill d ielts requirement,without doubt,they ll choose the candidate which already fulfill d ielts requirement.AND SEND e-mail or a written formal letter to uni of bath or king's college london. My Question is: 1. If I go to the school of pharmacy,do i get the same degree/certificate as those in king's college? 2. What is the best 10 pharmacy in my list?I search thru league table,but some say league table unrealible,n uni website jz sell themselves.I ll spend my 4 long year in UK,dont wanna feel regret later.I dont know the uni individually as i never been to UK,no direct exposure of information from "horse's mouth". 3. IS uni of bath n king's college worth dying for?I fulfill all ielts requirement except these 2. I really hope i can make my lucky 5 choices w/o regret later. Uni of Bath is definetely a good uni for pharmacy and Dentistry study..
I heard this from my senior who is doing her 1st degree in dentistry at University of Bath in Uk under JPA scholarships. |

If you are going to spend 4 years in the UK, you might as well choose the more popular and higher ranking ones. Despite what have been said about the league tables, it is there for us to see and compare. Unless, like you said, you hear them from the horses' mouth themselves, you practically have nothing to guide you. Also, you really don't have to be so worried about whether another more worthy applicant will replace you. Your job is to satisfy the requirements, that is all. A personal experience: I applied with only a GCE O English 1119 as opposed to my friends who all have IELTS! Still, I got all 5 offers despite having 'only that'. Thirdly, I am sure the degrees awarded by these universities are valid and registered with the relevant bodies. Do check them out if you are doubtful. |

If School of Pharmacy is part of UOL, then you will get the same degree as those who studied at KCL.

since pharmacy is not as competitive as med or dentistry and you can apply to 6 pharmacy schools..why dont you just try for king's then?after all you have 5 other back up uni's..if i were you i'd just give it a shot...if lets say you dont get in into any of the 6(which is almost impossible) there's still clearing for pharmacy..
by the way..bath does not offer dentistry..!!!!!!!!!! |

thank u guys for the advice.The list is copy paste from esila.jpa.gov.my website.i m a jpa scholar too.
duke 23,i m applying for pharm not dentistry btw.i didnt hear any info from house's mouth yet. so ur advice to me is to put pending on IELTS result n choose the 2nd option i listed? |
