Disney films after Tarzan aside from Pixar, are not worth seeing.

Rapunzel is more of a graphical experiment - that would be interesting with Glen Keane heading the project. The only screenshot of Princess and the Frog looks nice too, but I don't dare to have my hopes up. I used to think the world of James Baxter, but the animation in Enchanted for which he was responsible was a huge let-down. The Japanese just seem to do it so much better these days (e.g.
this one and
this one) - more experimental and stylish too.
Alan Menken's best work was Beauty and the Best i.m.o., and he sort of 'lost it' after his creative partner Howard Ashman died.
Disney needs a new Ashman, really (who was the Disney Renaissance pioneer starting with Little Mermaid). Beauty and the Beast is one of the finest
films ever made - if only Disney could achieve a similar level of output again. Sure, I like Lion King too but they really need to stop thinking that cartoons are only for kids, and only aiming for commercial success.
