Sudanese Certificate in Malaysia

Hi
I have a Sudanese Certificate of Secondary Education and am planning to apply to University of Malaya. Does anyone know what are my chances of getting accepted with this degree (my average is 73%) as i have sent an email to them and they said that they will consider it and i can send an application Also are there any other malaysian universities that will accept my certificate Thx

Hi Mjk, welcome to ReCom! I am not very sure but I think your questions are very specific to the individual universities, and your application is a very unique case, so most probably the forum members here will not have specific answers for you.

i would just like to know if malaysian universities in general would be willing to accept such a qualification or would applying just be a waste of time |

If you can prove that it's an equivalent to an equivalent certificate in Malaysia or recognised countries (notably the GCE O or A Levels from United Kingdom) then you might be able to fight for a place. Check with the education authorities in your country for more info about this...

I don't think it should be a problem. I'm basing this on what we face if we apply to overseas public unis. STPM is accepted. I don't see why yours isn't. You could visit University Malaya and ask them yourself. It wouldn't hurt. Every university has an international students quota including UM. Hope this helps!
