yes, its 50/50.. internal and external... you have a number of assignments and monthly/periodic assesments to do for your different subject.. each would have different weightage and stuff like that.. lecturers gives marks based on how well you have done la.. say chem for example, you would have lab reports to do, and in the reports there's a discussion part, and in that part, the lecturer would see how well you have presented your discussion la.. then they'll give marks according to your presentation of the report.. as long as you fulfil all the criteria that the lecturer wants, you would have higher marks if not full marks...

I am studying in INTEC for year 11. I am now in dilemma of whether to choose spect maths or physics in my year 12. Could any senior give some advise for me to make the wise choice?

Do you choose between specialist and physics? During my time it's between specialist and biology.

I guess it depends on how confident you are in mathematics. If you are confident you can do well in maths, for example, if you have always scored 95 and above in all your maths exams throughout secondary school and INTEC, then you might want to consider specialist maths. If you are not too confident about it, then physics might be a better choice, unless you seriously hate it.

Why Physics I study here (AUSMAT) is not same as in INTEC 1?
The number of chapters are also not same.
The INTEC 1 is much more than ours..

i know that ausmat is for the west and sam is for the south. So does that mean taking sam can't enrol into aus u in west and vice versa? haha as long as that's a aus matriculation program, there shld not be any problem of entering any aus u, right?

All Australian year 12 Physics is boring, stupid and easy. All the fun chapters are left out (as compared to a half-decent Pre-U Physics programme like Cambridge A-Levels A2 Physics, IB HL Physics etc.)
