I want to change a picture from my computer to my blog's background. Well, I have uploadedthat picture to the Image Shack.

But, to change the background of the blog, how shoud I do?

I have tried "Edit HTML" and I go to the background:#123;

then I change the #123

to the link provided from the Image Shack but it cant work.

Well, anyone, please tell me how to change background?

anyway, its really not as easy to create a blog of your own. I mean it really requires your utmost dedication. But if you intended yo create your online life journal, don't. Just stop. No one will read them, except for you, your friends that you forced to read, and some lame peeps, boring to death with nothing else to do.

To own your own blog, first you have to be very spesific. [don't take mine as example, i have this blog, just for fun]
Example :
let say, you really love photography, you should make a photo-blog. Where you show off the images you caught.
let say, you really love movies, you should make movie reviews. Sometimes you could also post links, or embed a YouTube links onto your blogs.

And make sure its something you like, other wise, you will lost your dedication, and leave the blog behind un-updated. >_>

Someone said that you could generate income via blog. you could, but don't put your high hopes on to that. Its really hard, and you need to become a pro-blogger before reaching part where you really could generate income via blog.

If you're just starting off, I'd say go with blogger.com. Once you really get into blogging though, you might wanna shift to Wordpress. They've got a lot more to offer if you know how.;)

As for content, well in my case, other than diary-like entries, I tend to post all sort of random stuff. I had a YouTube video day going on sometimes. There were conversations between my various thoughts. Interesting sites and stuff I found online. Anything goes really.

Do you mean hosting Wordpress by yourself? I would think that the free blog offered at wordpress.com isn't too good, lots of restrains. They don't even let you edit the CSS manually, if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, hosting it by yourself. Like you said, if you host it on their site, it's pretty limited.

I'm still new to Wordpress honestly, but it's not that hard to set up on your own hosting. Plus you get static pages. In some cases, they might really come in useful.

My blog has pretty much turned into a daily twitter digest
