it really comes as a surprise to me to find out there are certain secondary schools in penang that make it compulsory for the students to have crewcut/botak. well, i thought this only happens in primary schools. can u think of any rational reason behind it?

personally, do u think short haircut is related to good discipline? isnt forcing them to have crewcut is humiliating? come on, in kl, u can hardy see one spotting that hairstyle...

anyway just wanna hear ur comments. feedbacks are welcomed.

which school in penang are you talking about? I had been frequently travelling to penang for the past 5 weeks. Just got back this evening. I didn't notice any crew cut school boys.

If in Penang, it's probably Heng Ee.
It disciplines in such a way that the school administration or prefects or whatever don't have to worry about students' hair.

to me,the length of a person's hair doesnt really show the level of discipline a person has..but it does show that that person takes the effort to look more presentable(neat i mean) in front of others,i suppose that takes a certain amount of discipline...people will appreciate that. and about the humiliation part,i dont take it that way..although it's often said that rules are made to be broken, that doesnt mean that each rule is meaningless and none of us should confine to them..there is a reason behind every rule made, and if this rule is implemented in schools,i suppose the administrators just wanted them to look more student-like,without the long,punk-like style..but having said that, looks can be deceiving..so,in conclusion, try to steer away from concluding a person's personality from his appearance.
