very popular.......second to medicine and pharmacy. So forget about A-levels if you want to pursue the above courses at one of the IPTA.

they are all private schools. You will need to do your own research as to whether a school is private or public.

Take physics, Mathematics and further mathematics for 3 subjects. Take chemistry or economics in addition to the above if you want to have 4 subjects.

Yes, you can do that. In fact you can do almost anything with the above combination. Some people would advise you to do a professional course like ACCA or CIMA.

If u wanna take A levels, i suggest that you go to HELP University College as the lecturers there are really good and dedicated. Not only i personally feel it but others are giving very good comment about the A levels program in that college too.

I'm taking Cambridge A-levels, taking all 3science subjects plus Math, in Stamford college. As i know, not much people will think of doing A-levels in Stamford. But i'm just here to share my experience.

I joined the July 2005 intake, after all the twist and turn choosing college and course. The first 5months were ok. But now, after a month break of Dec and a "happening" January, everything becomes not ok at all. All my lecturers, i mean ALL 4 of them, left the college due to management and their year end bonus stuff. Now, they employ part-time lecturers to replace them.

For Math, they employed a very experienced secondary Math teacher. In another words, he has experiences for secondary Math, not A-level Math.

For Chemistry, they employed a fresh graduate from local university who couldn't speak english. Her english was horrible till no one can understand what was she trying to say unless we listen very carefully when she repeats.

For Biology, they employed a student of PhD in something related to Biology. She teaches everything, in this case, i mean things which are not in our syllabus.

For Physics, i don't even know who they employed.

From all the "rubbish" above, other than to complain, what i am trying to say is choose wisely. Don't be like me. Get into a trap and couldn't get out.

Stamford is not cheap, if one is willing to spend so much, one should consider HELP, Taylor's, Sunway or KDU. But then again, each college has its own good for nothing lecturers.

#50 Old 17-02-2006 Default Try INTEC

Well...for anyone who is considering doing A-Levels, why not consider INTEC, UiTM? Many JPA scholars are sent here, although you can usually only take 3 subjects from Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics or Further Mathematics.

It's really competitive though, and students here usually have world rankings in Edexcel for certain subjects. For the June 2005 session, 6 out of the top 10 in the world for Chemistry came from INTEC.

It's worth considering!
