In ReCom, there is no way to know whether the member is a boy or a girl if you check the member's profile. When introducing themselves in the Introduce Yourself thread, the new members hardly ever mention their gender (I think I didn't too). So all we can do is to guess someone's gender through his nick or avatar or interests or private message that person.

Thus, I suggest that there should be a place for us to state our gender in our profile and that it can be shown everytime we post a new reply, just like the number of posts and location.

yes...i think flibbertigibbet has a point....we never know who are we interacting with....boy or girl??
so, it should be included in the profiles....and age too i think....

I wouldn't say it's important but knowing the gender of the person you are dealing with in threads like Male=Female? is really helpful. That's my opinion.
