I use many methods. I have tried almost all the method listed about and I am still doing more experiments on these method. Personally I think NLP (neuro language programming) and PSR have very high potential to increase our learning ability.

I tried to open some energy gates in my head , namely 3rd eye chakra, crown chakra (bai hui), eyes, ears, temples, throat using simple chi gung and also love energy channeling method (I discovered this method in my experiment) and turn out that I can understand my German lecturers?lecture VERY well. Charging my throat chakra somehow makes me speak better.

there are certain points on your head.... when you focus on them it brings certain effect. I read that if you imagine an orange hanging on your head, slightly behind your skull, you can read much faster....

making your eyeball look upwards somehow produce alpha waves and it is good for visualisation.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing

Here?s a post on imagination sharpening. Here are the basic. Try it and you will see your mind actually develop and improves very fast. The most difficult step is to make the choice of trying these exercises.

Visual :

Look at one simple object, let?s say a candle flame. Remember its visual details and close your eyes and duplicate the image. If it is not succesful try it more often until you can get a vivid picture in your mind.

You can combine it with concentration exercise. close your eyes and think of the object for 5 minutes continuously without breaking. After you have done it successfully do it for 5 minutes with you eyes open. If you can do so... congraturation. Your visual intelligence (possibly your spacial intelligence as well) has greatly improve.

After that move on to more complicated objects like an anime charactor or a complicated 3D shape etc.

It is very useful to image words vividly in your mind... try image ABC until it is very clear... then go on to something more complicated like ACTIVE or TODAY IS MONDAY

try it with various font colour, size and style. This is useful in recalling words or sentences...

There are something more advance where you imagine yourself being in a imaginary place like a jungle or corn field....
You can combine visual imagination with other senses like touch and sound... Imagine being at the beach with cool breeze etc. You can go further by imagine yourself being able to see more than 180 degrees where you imagine scenes behind you as well.... imagination is limitless so play with it....

There are more advance imagination skills like transfering your perception to other objects, people etc. Doing so makes you sensitive to space and greatly increase your spatial intelligance and intuition.

I hope this helps.... thanks.

i'm not a fan of any of those methods.

my ingredients:

1) stay up all night: less distraction
2) cigarettes: my way to relax and find some ideas. (i used coffee in high school)
3) text books: to hell with lecture notes.
4) blank printer papers: it helps to reduce the consumption of pricy binder papers.
5) be really scared to get anything but A (for the courses that i care about)

some of u might think it's bad. but it works very well for me. and the most important is what works for u, not what's proven to work by experts. face it, everyone's unique.

Do state your methods and share with us.

Saying that everyone has thier own method and case close results
in zero sharing.

btw, the threds is not about study method. It is method for learning (helpful in studying).

thanks

no, what i meant was, dont use a method that many people use just because of the number. use one that works for u. it's fine to share. it gives ideas for people to try. that's why i shared mine.
