Hey, Gabriel!
I heard from some seniors that kettles are not allowed to be brought into hostels in most of the universities as it might cause fire (it was the explanation by hostel admin. the real reason behind it, hehe ... not very hard to figure).
I also heard from my friend that we can choose our hostel room companion during registration day.

I think that we are allowed to bring the kettle. But if i am not mistaken, we have to pay RM10... And this is what i heard from my cousin who is studying UTM... I think UTP will also be the same.... Zi Hern, are you sure that we can choose our own roommate? Is your friend a senior in utp? in UNITEN which no scholarship is available, the students are not giving a chance to choose their preferred roommate and also the room...

I'm not sure about that. That's what I knew from a recomers who's also going to UTP. I chat with her through MSN and she told me so, according to her friend.
