Hi el_empty,
From Penang, take the PLUS highway and keep to the extreme left when you exit at Ipoh. You should turn towards the Jelapang town. From there, take a right turn after 4 or 5 traffic lights. Can't remember exactly how many. Its the turning after the golf course (which you will pass on your right). The intended traffic light only governs the right turn. From then, just follow the road for about 30 to 40 mins, heeding all signs directing you towards Lumut/ Seri Iskandar/ Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. Seri Iskandar is the townlet just after UTP. When r u making d trip? ![]() zihern, PETRONAS usually abosrbs students with first class only. At UTP, this is ~3.75 CGPA and above but you still stand a good chance ith a CGPA of 3.5. If you got a second upper circa 3.33, its pretty competitive and not easy to get a job, EVEN IF YOU ARE A PETRONAS SCHOLAR. No WiFi. Internet connection only in the rooms of the newer hostels. However you have free access to all the computer labs from 8-5p.m. and the library from 8a.m. to 10p.m. daily except weekends. You can access Internet from there and its free. When I was a PETRONAS scholar in UTP, I did not pay tuition or accomodation fees. PETRONAS does that for you. The elaun sara hidup is nett. You can spend what you get on food and miscellany. Gabriel, PETRONAS does not offer graduate (MS and PhD) scholarships as far as I know. It is stated on the website. My scholarship is from UTP. |
