Hello, I got a question here.. I got into the interview for mass communication at USM.. bt I was wondering, if I don't go for this interview, do I have any chance of getting in to any other course that I have applied in USM through their site? Honestly, I was only interested in the sociology course, bt I also applied for comm and business for some backup.. and I don't rly know what is the relevance of this course(mass comm) so I'm thinking I might rly screw this up and so I don't wanna travel all the way up north..

the relevance? well as far as i know mass comm is about communication techniques, foundations, history etc. it's divided into few major specializations like Journalism, Public Relations, Broadcasting etc (heard that the USM course is more geared towards broadcasting. not 100% though.) The jobs that I can think of are in corporate communications (advertising, branding, sales), creative industries, the press, anything that involves relating to other people in an effective way. Here's an article for how is it like studying this course (the writer is/was a USM student too). there's no way to know if you're gonna screw up unless you try. but then again, if you have set your eyes on sociology, then you can opt not to travel for something that isn't what you want. ps: i also applied for mass comm...mass comm was my 1st choice though. I'm going for the interview, and if you are going, I'll see you there

hey guys! Looks like most of you got the interview for dentistry. I got the interview too, but my cgpa is not that awesome. I only got 3.88, and seeing ur guys' cgpa making me very freaking nervous. I'm actually from diploma in science. i dont know whether i can get this course haih. why do u guys hv to be so freaking genius :/
