Imperial college Chemeng - Possible to get rejected after interview?
So I was shortlisted for an interview by Imperial College for chemeng about two months ago at Traders Hotel, KL, and I went for it earlier today. I asked the tutor, do you conduct interviews by shortlist, because it seemed difficult that Imperial would make decisions within all its decisions within the 6 day interim period between the response deadline and the interview date..
His response was that offers had already been made, and indeed, the email said simply that it was meant for the tutor to 'gauge the probability of my coming here'.
So I'm thinking that the whole interview thing is basically just an information session, albeit a pointless one. Can any of you guys tell me whether you know of any cases where students were rejected post-interview?
Not sure I did amazingly well on the interview. In fact, I think it didn't go very well. Worst comes to worst I attend UCL or UCLA in America. My stats are well, Imperial standard. Thoughts, anyone?
