Delayed Write Failed

Hi everyone! I have a very serious problem Ive encountered and would like all of you to help me sort it out. I would now explain the problem.

When I just simply google some websites, without downloading anything at that moment, suddenly the browser automatically shut down and a bunch of " Windows-Delayed Write Failed" messages popped out (and I mean many off them, like 20+). Then, a system check (with a windows logo) came out, telling me to run a scan. I felt hopeless that time, so I did it. After scaning and fixing the problems (well only some of them based on the scan result), it told me critical problems were unable to be solved with my cuurent trial version, hence told me to purchase a full version one. I was shocked as it was windows who ran the scan, since windows ,which is not a antivirus software, had never asked me to do so before. (I suspected it was the virus works). Although I restarted my computer 2 times, it was still to no avail. Worst enough, most of my shortcuts and files on the desktop had gone, and the background of my screen is now black after restarting!

Can anyone help me resolve this serious issue, cause the computer belongs to my dad. Thank you very much.

You probably need to reformat the whole computer. This could be virus attack. I had a similar one years back, and my only option was to send it for reformatting. If you have a backup, you don't need to worry about your missing files.
