I have one concern in applying for this scholarship:
It says this in the Online Application Guide:

For Malaysian students applying for scholarship, please use the below answer for the following
questions during the online application.
1. Have you applied for any student or graduate opportunity (employment, scholarship, internship,
personal development award, Gourami) with Shell through either the www.shell.com/careers or a local Shell
country careers website in the last 12 months?

If yes, please note that if you wish to re-apply, you will need to wait at least 12 months from the date of
the final outcome of your previous application. This will allow you time to demonstrate that you have
developed yourself further and have gained additional experience and/or qualifications.

I'm currently studying in Pre-U course, completing it by June 2011, entering degree in July 2012. If I apply now, and if I'm unsuccessful, does that mean I can't apply again during next year?

What should I do? Just asking for kind opinions, need some guidance here =)

Yes of course you can re-apply - only after exactly one year has passed.

I applied for Shell during this period last year. My application was rejected on the 15th of January 2011. So until 15th of January 2012 comes, I can only amend my resume, personal information etc in the Application website. I can only click "submit application" from 16th of January onwards.

List of preferred overseas universities and degree disciplines:

Imperial College London ? Geosciences, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Massachusetts Institute of Technology ? Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering
Texas A&M University ? Petroleum Engineering only
University of Bristol ? Geosciences, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering
University of Cambridge ? Geosciences, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
University of Sheffield ? Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

I just want to know, may I still apply for this oversea scholarship but for a different type of degree at a different type of university? Eg. Accounting & Finance at Cardiff University, UK. Thanks in advance =)!

I emailed them about this since I wanted to read Law. Was told that they would not be sponsoring students doing degrees other than the listed ones.

How to fill in the official CV? The very same one that's used for their job employment.... They ask for academics qualifications and I'm utterly confused on how to fill up that part. I mean, I am not even a degree student and they ask for my field of study and/or my results? (first class, second class, CGPA etc.)


Or do I just ignore that one and prepare an entirely different CV for myself?

I think you should just ignore the part where you need to insert your degree qualification. Just prepare an entirely different CV involving your highest academic qualification and that should be fine.

=/ But you wouldn't know what to fill in. They wouldn't expect anything from that field if you haven't even enrolled anything in the university, I think.

About the certs, yes you have to upload your certs for co-curricular activities. You have a few slots to upload your documents, right (if my memory doesn't fail me)?

It's very hard to compose all certs into one file, but it's possible if you paste all the pictures of the certs (around 5-6) in a Words file. And since you have 4-5 slots (forgot), reserve 2 slots for the co-curricular certs (the other 2-3 for other documents like CV and stuffs), and you can include around 10-12 certs. Choose the important certs (high level) only, and omit those not that important one.
