Hi, I am among students studying A-level right now, going to take my AS exam this year end.
I aim to further my studies in UK after my a-level, and
as far as i know, application UCAS close on 15 Jan, and by then the AS shouldn't be coming out yet.
Then we have to summit our application using AS trials result.

So, my question is, will application using AS trials result affect application to top unis such as oxbridge?

(i have seen warwick give conditional offer with AS trial, but that person fails to get cambridge, UOL, LSE offer)

It depends on the candidate itself really...in my college which is taylor ive seen many people getting cambridge medicine and also to unis conditional offers lyk imperial lse and ucl so i dony think trial will hamper ur chances.

Many people getting medicine in cambridge, u must be kidding me.
I heard that they only give 20(not sure about the figure, but should be <50) places each year to international students.
Unless they are JPA scholar, are they??

No, cause usually AS Trial is much harder than the actual AS itself. Also it depends on the forecast especially for Further Maths in which you don't have Further Maths in AS level.

Cambridge Medicine? A lot? From what I knew, lots of them are doing Economics, Law, Natural Sciences (Biology, Physics or Chemistry), Mathematics, Engineerings and only some Medicine. I have at least 5-7 friends from Taylor's (out of 9-11) who are going to Cambridge this year.

They would allocate at least a certain percentage of places to international students la don't worry, and obviously the figure you stated is incorrect. JPA scholar so what? You still have to apply on your own. Whatever scholar are you, you still have to apply on your own by using your result.

Nichol is a girl name btw, and I'm a boy.

No, that's not possible, unless you're descendant of British Monarch or something. Otherwise you have to work your ass off to get a place there.

Only certain unis like Edinburgh or maybe manchester allow gov from countries to do so( direct arrangements and "bookings" of seats...however, for top comeptitive unis lyk imperial or cambridge/ oxford i highly doubt so that the unis will allow all this to take place..lols
