Not really, but it's advisable for you to self-learning, just for the sake of learning it, so that you can cope up with your degree later.

I'm in jan intake batch. That means Im taking my AS paper this coming Oct to Nov. And A2 papers in June 2012. Which results should I use to apply the uni? A-levels forecast? Is it a necessary to sit for SAT test? Since I've checked with NUS and NTU websites, it seems like only NUS need it but not NTU.

If I need to sit for SAT, what would be the best combination of 3 subjects? since i don't study science subjects anymore. And when is the recommended dates/time to sit for the test.

Hey siewmeiloh, you can always email the officers of NTU or NUS to know more. SAT is needed, not sure whether they need SAT 2 as well.

Private or Public? For public, UUM is quite well known for its business courses including Economics. For private, I'm not really sure, but you can definitely check out Monash and others as well.

UM Economics is quite well known too with notable alumni like Zeti Aziz and Rafidah Aziz. It has a strict entry requirement too with most of the current students are from matriculation with CGPA 3.8 and above .

Private is very vague, because most private institutions offer Economics degrees as an external degree credit program. Means the degree structure is from another university overseas.

I don't think that it is possible to rank all those institution based on one particular course as the course structure varies from one uni to another uni. It's safe for me to say that every uni has its own advantages and plus-point. Furthermore, uni can only provide you with the foundation.

It's up to you entirely to upgrade and bring the best out of yourself. Reputation does matter but that shouldn't be the only priority.

Guys, is it ok if I just pick either one of Macro or Micro subjects for my core subjects for my degree in econs?? Or normally students pick both together??
