I'm trying to find opinions on setting our own Wiki. The main advantage of Wiki is resource sharing. But whether it's really needed or not is left to be discussed.
There are a couple of things that running through my mind right now. Our wiki could be one of these things. 1. SPM Wiki. - Will put a lot of stuff on helping people about SPM. 2. Malaysia Wiki. Setting Malaysia wiki is a bit redundant since I know so far 2 Wikis are out there about Malaysia : General : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia More specific : SMF folks' : http://cgi.stanford.edu/group/smf/cg...wiki/index.cgi i guess we can be more specific , for example, the Malaysian Economy, or the details about the cities :e.g Melaka, KL, Ipoh, Penang, etc. Suggestions are welcome |

I think a good start would be to develop it for secondary school education, as well as resources for university students. (Students/Alumni of various universities, write-up, links, about their research, about financial aid, scholarships etc.)
I think the university students one, we could do a good job~!

Wiki Malaysia by Stanford folks are fantastic. I have just added the list of all cabinet ministers and I guess there are tons of stuff that we can help adding in~! So, fellow ReComers, get your acts started and go ahead~!
Just curious, what security measurement is done to prevent hackers to add anything they wish?

I think we could leave it to the public, but we need to monitor.
Wikipedia.com is in public domain and anyone, including you and me can just go there and change anything, but it seems that it is working perfectly fine~!

So, anyone wants to take the lead to develop SPM Wiki during this winter break.
Technologically wise, I don't think I would be able to help much, but I would definitely be more than happy to help look for as many resources as possible~!

Have you ever experience a situation where you want to find your favorite teacher in high-school or primary school and you realized that that teacher has transferred somewhere else?.
Or, you want to know what's the difference between various colleges to go to (or various sekolah menengah to recommend friends , or maybe send you kids.) How about a Wiki that explore the schools and colleges in Malaysia?. (the teachers, population, the coolness rate, etc). |
