ReCom Wiki is Recruiting. =)

Hi everyone!

I am pleased to announce that ReCom Wiki has been restored to its working state by vseehua. That means that we can now reaccess ReCom Wiki after months of technical problems. Thus, this invaluable source of information for Malaysian students is now available once more to all.

Now, we realise that ReCom Wiki is huge and we don't quite have enough manpower to write all the wanted articles that people want to read. That's where you come in. You can be an official ReCom Wiki contributor.

Now, you might be asking: what are the advantages/benefits of this position? Well, here they are:

1. Flexible working hours: You can contribute articles to ReCom Wiki at your own time, without much time commitment.

2. Nice benefits: You'll get special access to the secret ReCom Executive Staff Lounge, a custom user title of Wiki Contributor and even a nice purple colour for your username.

3. Giving back to ReCom: You have benefitted from the articles and forum threads in ReCom, so why not give back and help so many students all over Malaysia?

Here is your task description should you consider signing up:

Wiki Contributor

Description: Contributes to our very own Recom Wiki by writing wanted articles and editing/proofreading existing articles.

Requirements: A genuine interest to help others by sharing useful information in articles. If you wish to write new articles, a good command of the English language would suffice, and don't worry about being perfect as your articles will be proofread by other Wiki contributors (like me). If your English is excellent, then you can help proofread existing articles for grammatical errors/ spelling mistakes and correct those errors so that the final result will be professional and well-written.

I used to contribute to the wiki quite a lot 2 years ago when my memories of SPM and scholarship applications were still fresh. I wouldn't mind proofreading and adding a thing or two here and there.

Hi there!

Due to my personal commitment (I have started working) it's becoming impossible for me to maintain the wiki movement. I apologise for not having played a good role as the team leader to propel it to a greater height.

I am very glad to see mirianchoo take over my previous role in this restored recom wiki, and I give him my wholehearted support. I urge everyone to give him a helping hand in making ReCom Wiki a useful education resource for students and by students.

Hi! I'm kind of new around here but I am very interested in the development of Recom's Wiki. Everything with Wiki is cool to me haha.

I think I won't mind writing articles, as long as I have sufficient resources. In addition, I think it'll be a great opportunity to improve my mediocre English by writing and proofreading articles too

Do we need to be a recom wiki editor to edit? or are we using the standard wiki anyone-can rules?

(cuz im more of a casual drop in proofreader than anything)

Oh, anyone can edit of course. Yeah, I know you have helped proofread some articles. Saw your contributions before, haha.

For those who are officially part of the team, you would have more benefits though, and we can discuss how to improve ReCom Wiki, which articles need writing/editting etc in the secret ReCom Wiki Contributor lounge.
