Tajaan Tambahan JPA - Ivy League dan Setaraf 2011

Ok i read through the super long thread of Tajaan Tambahan JPA (which had been closed coz it's too long xD), and found that it sounds like there suppose to be a link and online application form to apply for it. anyway i cant find any info about when will this scholarship will be open.

I cant find any info on jpa site either, though I found a suspicious looking article:

Antara program penajaan kepada pelajar adalah seperti berikut:

1. penajaan ke universiti terkemuka di luar negeri

So today when I called up jpa, the lady office told me that they are unsure whether jpa is going to offer this or not. and she says that if i wanna apply, I should email + mail my resume+certs+result+etc to JPA to apply. But this sounds very weird, i am afraid that they will just throw my application into dustbin~

So here i just wish to ask those who had applied for this scholarship in previous years, how did you apply for this scholarship? by an online application system or other way? and when do this scholarship usually open?

Call Encik Andinor bin Anuar ( check out his direct line number from JPA website)

Your hard copy letter along with your certified cert should be send to

Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam,
Bahagian Pembangunan Modal Insan,
Unit Latihan Sebelum Perkhidmatan Luar Negara,
Aras 5 Block C1, Kompleks C
Pusat Pentadbiran Kerajaan Persekutuan
62510 W.P Putrajaya.

Last year I applied ( Vet Medicine Uni of Edinburgh ) on the first week of March 2010 and JPA confirmed my scholarship on 20th April 2010.

Take note you will not find any article on Ivy-League category in JPA website. Because this optional category ( heard they only allocated 30 scholarships for Yr 2010) will only be make available subject to govt budget, hence they don't want to publicise abt it.

Anyway, you have nothing to lose by filing in an application.

Criteria for last year is as followed :-
a) your course must be in their preferred list
b) Your Uni offer is UNCONDITIONAL, conditional offer is no good.
c) Your Uni must be in the THES World Top 20 ranking, QS ranking is no good.

JPA don't really care how you scored in SPM or what pre-university result you used to apply with, as long you are accepted into these Top 20 Uni doing the courses they preferred, they will consider you.

I applied to Uni of Edinburgh using my SAM result, others applied using A level or IB Diploma.

No way mate ! strictly THES world ranking. If you are thinking of reading economics in LSE , better check with JPA cos neither LSE or economics weren't in their preference list last year

i wonder is this programme still exist this year. Even Encik Andinor also doesn't know.
Lol, the universities ranking isn't taken into consideration last year, i suppose. As long as is medic, in Edinburgh or Monash (not even top 20) they got it. My brother with both Imperial and Yale offers fail to get it, coz not medic ==
