Info: Some advice needed about the University of Nottingham (Malaysia Campus).

Hi all,

I would like to know whether the UNMC is a good choice for business economics and management course. Furthermore I would also appreciate if some of you could tell me how the campus life is back there and the quality of the lecturers compared to other private and local universities in the country. As for facilities wise, ive heard that theirs are top class notch quality. Anyhow, would really appreciate some extra advices and tips. Thanks.

Alad, I think you'll find that most people in that thread discuss engineering only, but make the best of what you have, I guess.

Personally, I find the fees on the high side, even for their reported quality.

Alexis, there's no doubt about the point you mentioned. The fees are quite high and therefore I'm still considering on to whether or not UNMC is the right choice. Still keeping tabs open for other universities as well for now. Thanks though.

Nottingham is a decent campus, and I have friends studying there. It might be expensive, but the standards are quite high. It is among the better branches of foreign universities in Malaysia, and it is definitely better to do your business course here than say, Curtin University (Miri campus), which is far from the city centre and is pretty much in the middle of nowhere (I know, I am from Miri). I think that the price is the main downside to Nottingham, but the facilities and teaching standards are excellent in my opinion, so it might just be worth it after all instead of going to a cheaper uni with poorer standards.

True.i am currently studying there,but for engineering course.what i can say about the quality of the lecturers is that it would not be your biggest concern as the lessons are mostly self-based.business management course is quite popular here,second after engineering.campus life is not as vibrant as campuses in the city,so having a car will help a lot.
