JAD is for SPM leavers only i think.
just finished the interview at regency hotel... it was a fun experience. met friends from penang and perlis.. laughed, gulped and laughed again.
i don't know whether the interviewers want to go easy with me or they are not interested with me or the combination of both but
the interview itself is short and filled with typical questions : what do you know about the course you're applying? how do you see yourself in 10 years? why do you deserve the scholarship?
1st round is a quiz with objective questions.. there are about 20 questions about math, physics and chem. it is just about the basics, but if you are brain dead from not opening books since four months ago, you'll be doomed. formula obviously not provided.
2nd round is the interview.. for me, it was short, around 10 (awkward)
minutes, but for others, it may be around 20 minutes.
edit : just remembered what the interviewer told me : JAD students can get to the N3 level of JLPT within months of intensive japanese language classes... so if you want to learn japanese fast and you like engineering, this program is for you.
