Hello, I'm a first year medical student (M.D.) and have just gotten a book list asking me to cough up RM1213 for this semester by this Friday.
So I have a question, are these books used THROUGHOUT the course? Or only for a few semesters?
Marieb's Anatomy and Physiology
Guyton's Physiology OR Ganong's Review of Physiology
Robin's Pathology
Lange's Microbiology and Immunology
McLeod's Clinical Methods
Langman's Embryology
Lippincott's Biochemistry
Dorland's Medical Dictionary (this I know I could use)
And another question. Since Marieb is combining both Anatomy and Physiology, would it be less comprehensive that any other singular subjects? And if I get it, would it still be necessary to get Guyton's Physiology?
I'm a sponsored student and I'm studying in KL based only on my own money and allowance as I don't want to burden my parents so I want to get only the most useful and highly recommended (based on your experience) to aid me throughout the course.
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it!
P/S : I don't mind spending extra for really good books so please have your say!
