Just to check if those that did not received email from hafiz means we are not selected for the scholarship.

No no. I don't think so. I supposed En Hafiz only email to those who already have University's offer letter to make it easier for us in order for us to complete our VISA application. There are around 200 students who are in the list of scholars but have not provide to the MoHE any University's offer so maybe you guys have to really wait till next week when the system is updated.

Note: Those who received the emails, that I know of, are only those who are bound for overseas, not local.

So no worries, and wait for it. ^^ BTW, what course are you applying for?

Thanks for the info. Actually I have conditional offer letters from UCL, Warwick, Manchester and Imperial. Unfortunately only UCL is in the list. Guess i am not successful. All the best to those who are selected.

Maybe you should check again with MR Hafiz, in case they are not aware of you. You can also email him at if you can't get through the line. Maybe it would be a happy ending for you and then again if you are still not listed you can get some explanation about why you are not.

I guess the listed uni is not one of the reasons not to get it, I applied without any of the listed uni, and yeah after a few process of appealing and giving facts on how Warwick has become one of the top 5 for Maths in the UK, I was chosen to receive the scholarship. Anyway it is up to you. I had been there, calling on and on to other scholarships and at the end, I failed to attain it. But everything is worth a try. What course are you planning to further anyway?

Not sure yet as the official offer letter is not out yet. We are only been notified via email. When we get it later, I'll share it with you, but for what I know we are bonded based on how long we are under their sponsorship. That is what written on the website.

I see Well, I believe it should be at least 4-5 years considering the fact MOHE is funding some of you guys for an overseas education. However, pretty sure you guys already have the passion in you to come back to serve, more or less. If not, it wouldn't have been easy to convince your sponsors to give you this scholarship eh? Been following the thread since it started and well, some of the experiences here I've seen seem very daunting and needs true sincerity in explaining one's self. So only email of notification lol. Wonder if you guys will also get at least a presentation ceremony unlike the JPA people ><
