There're plenty of assistant but they are rarely free. Most of those offered by the school is geared to preserve the human capital on the island. It is a great opportunity for those who are intending to stay on to work in S'pore, but not so for those who wants to go home or venture overseas.

I'm still waiting to see a true "free" scholarship that is granted based on the true meaning of a scholar - the learned person - with no strings attached.

The TGS is currently open to all students enrolled for full time courses in the following institutions:
National University of Singapore
Nanyang Technological University
Singapore Management University
Singapore Polytechnic
Ngee Ann Polytechnic
Temasek Polytechnic
Nanyang Polytechnic
Republic Polytechnic
LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts
Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts

In exchange for Government subsidy received under the TGS, all non-Singaporean students ( including Singapore Permanent Residents), are required to sign a TG agreement in which they will be contractually obliged to work in Singapore for a minimum period of 3 years upon graduation.

Correct me if I am wrong... I vaguely remember where i heard this form but it might be true that even if u take up the study loan... u can still work in malaysia or anywhere else in a singapore-registered company.... maybe u all can email the MOE to confirm

Yeah, something like any S'pore company anywhere as long as you pay taxes to S'pore, which isn't really that bad since the income tax is pretty low anyway.

A few of my peers are all over China and Malaysia with S'pore companies. One even went to UK for training and counts for the 3 years. But I don't know how the account for it though, like do you have to have a time chart like how many hours you clocked with company A, then company B etc. ?

Hello,everyone.I would like to ask,if I failed or missed out the chance to apply both Tuition fee loan and tuition grant scheme,is it available for me to apply them during the 2nd yr of my diploma?
