you dont kill people if you make a mistake in engineering...

(well i guess you do, but its not like every single engineer will definitely make a fatal error...)

On contrary, engineering mistakes, when they do happen, kill hundreds at one go compared to the medical profession where the worst that can happen is your one patient dying.

By the way, Henry, since you're doing your postgrad in the U.S, what kind of norm are you using? Isn't it the ANSI norm? Won't it be different from what you learnt in Malaysia (ISO norm)?
