I just received my STPM result last week and my brain gone totally blank for a few seconds. Yes, I failed my STPM once again after my SPM failure.I got only 3As in SPM and no A in STPM.. I was a Science student but now I doubt that in my future. I used to have this ambition of being a pharmacist but..seems like the chance is very slim already..Now I am thinking whether to take a diploma course in IPTA or repeat STPM but taking kemanusiaan..Have been thinking about going private uni too but there is no loan for foundation courses in private uni..Diploma, foundation, or STPM again? Seriously I have no confidence in taking STPM anymore even it's not science..
 Can anyone give some advice?? |

I think it'd be helpful for other recom users to advise you if you could clarify what "fail" is. Is it no "A" or below GPA 2.0?
Can you or your family afford or are willing to pay for a private education? ------ All the best. |

I only got 1.50...My dad wants me to take PTPTN loan if I ever get myself into any private institution..but if I want to take foundation in UTAR, which I found is cheaper, I need to work part time to pay for it..besides, I need to reconsider whether to take the one year foundation course or diploma which takes longer time to reach degree level..

At the very least, a diploma graduate could work part-time here and there whenever the chance arises. Just make sure you allocate enough time to fulfil your required academic responsibilities though. Besides that, the time difference in getting a degree faster between the options of a diploma or foundation first matters little to me. It's not even a large time gap for that matter, and a diploma will better prepare you for your degree studies anyway.I think it's best not to stress your family financially just to get a private education. UTAR is good enough in your case.
